Oktoberfest is not just about drinking because there is an annual event that was inspired by homeless dogs and other pets. Those who love to run might just think this annual run for a cause is a great way to help these homeless dogs and other pets.

The event is called Pawtoberfest and it is on its 10th year. It will be held at Bear Creek Regional Park in Colorado Springs this Saturday, September 15. The dogs and other pets under the care of Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region will be benefited from the event. They hope to raise $150,000 for the event.

At the dog-friendly event, there will be a two-mile dog walk as well, music, agility demonstrations, contests for pets, craft brews, and other family-friendly activities.
