Country music star Miranda Lambert shared sad news late last week. She said that one of her doggos, Jessi, passed away after being with her for more than 13 years.
– Country music singer Miranda Lambert mourned the loss of her doggo Jessi.
– Jessi is the sibling of Miranda’s other dog, Waylon.
– Waylon died last year.
The 36-year-old singer made the sad announcement on Instagram. She posted a number of photos on her social media page and shared the dog’s story. Lambert revealed that she found Jessi and her brother Waylon on the side of the road in Oklahoma in 2008. The doggos were just six weeks old and they were out there in the middle of a snowstorm.
Last year, Waylon actually crossed the rainbow bridge. And now that Jessi has crossed that bridge, too, Lambert said the sibling doggos really belong together. Lambert shared, “I know she missed him terribly and we are so thankful to have had extra time. Today they are reunited at the rainbow bridge.”
The singer also said that when Jessi died, they sent her off with the song “Storms Never Last,” the same record that was playing in Lambert’s truck when she discovered Jessi and Waylon.
