After how many months due to the pandemic, a therapy dog reunited with the people at a senior living center. The living center is located at Huntsville, Alabama.
– A therapy dog got the chance to meet the seniors at a senior living center once again.
– This comes months after pandemic started.
– The dog is part of the pet therapy they offer at the living center alongside art and music therapy.
The dog, named Diamond Lil, was able to make the seniors at the ChristyCare Senior Day Living Center happy last Friday. This was the first visit after months of not being able to go to the living center due to the circumstances. The founder of ChristyCare, Christy Todd, said that they were all happy to see Diamond Lil although the visit was different compared to the past visits since people cannot touch the animal due to health protocols.
Aside from pet therapy with Diamond Lil, the seniors at the center also get art therapy and music therapy. Todd pointed out that pet therapy is just as important as the other two therapies.
