The doggo named Toto from “The Wizard of Oz” will be getting an animated musical. This is reportedly being worked on now by the Warner Animation Group.

The musical will be based on a children’s book by Michael Morpurgo called “Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz.” The screenwriter for “Aladdin” is reportedly the one who wrote the script for the musical. The director is reportedly a veteran Broadway director named Alex Timbers.

The musical is being described as an uplifting take on the original movie where Toto, Dorothy’s pet dog, was first featured. In the movie, Toto does not do much so it is yet to be seen how Toto will be made the star of the musical. It is possible that the musical will be based on the perspective of the doggo.
