– The first ever BarkStock event was held over the weekend.
– This was organized by Southern Roots Team.
– They asked event-goers to donate…

The BarkStock event was held at the Generations Park on Saturday afternoon. The team leader of Southern Roots, Josh Campos, said of the event that it is their way to give back to their community. Campos worked with his team member, Eddie Fulghum, to organize the event. They chose to help local dog shelters because many organizations in their area do not have enough funding or supplies.

The event featured music, food vendors, and family activities that the event-goers enjoyed. Chase Brannen of Dominion Dog Training even took his doggos with him at the event to put on a show.

BarkStock was free but the event-goers were encouraged to donate. The organizers collected donated pet toys, foods, treats, cleaning supplies, blankets, collars, water bowls, leashes, and towels for the doggos. The shelters that got the first round of donations are SPCA Albrecht Center and the Aiken County Animal Shelter.
