The eleventh annual Pawtoberfest took place over the weekend in Colorado Springs. There were music, drinks, and people who attended were able to help homeless animals in the area.

The dogs benefited by the event are from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. They take care of abandoned, abused, unwanted, and lost cats and dogs. Pawtoberfest is one of the dog-friendly festivals in the area and during the event, there were tastings, a two-mile dog walk, freebies, agility demonstrations, pet contests, and more.
It is unclear if the event was able to reach its goal – to draw more than 1,500 people and to raise over $200,000. The tickets were priced from $25 to $45.
