In Johnston, Iowa, it was raining over the weekend. However, the Iowa Dog Jog still pushed through and many people still joined the event. As a result, they were able to raise a lot of money.
– The third annual Iowa Dog Jog took place last weekend.
– There was live music, prizes, and vendors at the event.
– A total of $5,500 was raised from the event.
This is the third annual event that took place at Terra Park. The organizers were surprised themselves with the turnout. The event was organized by Animal Rescue League (ARL) and they shared that more than 550 people and around 300 dogs. The races at the event included 2K and 5K.
During the event, there was live music, vendors, and prizes given away. The ARL also brought in nine adoptable puppies. Two of the nine pups found a fur-ever home.
The Dog Jog raised more than $5,500 and it will be used for different shelters in the area.
