What A Good Deed! This Animal Shelter Will Raise Funds For Fire Victims

The Aspen Animal Shelter will be holding its annual event to celebrate doggos and the whole community. The funds that will be raised will, however, be used to help fire victims.

The event is called Dog Day Afternoon and it’s the fourth year of this event. A carnival and a festival will surely have a positive turnout on Sunday. Initially, the annual event was supposed to take place last July 8 but because of the wildfire, it had to be moved. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the affected areas.

The event will be open from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. and it is open to doggos, dog owners, and the public in general. There will be live music, food trucks, free food and drinks from restaurants, and shelter dogs will be up for adoption. Also, veterinary care will be provided to stray dogs that will be rescued and adopted out.


All the activities are free.
