WoofTrax is part of the WooFDriver & WooFTunes Family. WoofTrax is how we give back to Dogs and actually do what we term “Dog-Powered Fundraising. WooFTunes Dog Shelter Program
Sometimes the WooFPack gets anxious if left on their own. So the WooFPlay Band wrote music just for them– WooFDreams. WooFDreams calms their wild hearts and allows them to better tolerate the time that they must be inside, awaiting their chance to run again. I play WooFDreams at low levels in the background, blocking out bothersome outside noises, and replacing it with consistent, soothing music that they become familiar with.
Not long ago, I had a brainstorm. Who needs soothing and caring more than the unfortunate woofs who do not have their own pack yet? The woofs in dog shelters. So, I reached out to county and SPCA shelters in the area and offered to bring in small sound systems to play my music. They were immediately excited! We have more shelters signing up than I have sound systems! To the right are a couple pictures of the first round of systems I am sending out. It is composed of a small amplifier with a built in MP3 player that uses standard SD memory cards. I only needed to add a couple speakers.
But I need your help! I can afford a few of these systems to get things started, but the response from the shelters is over-whelming– more are interested than I could possibly do on my own. And I’d like to reach out across the state and further!
Do you have an old iPod or MP3 player hanging around? How about an old stereo and/or speakers you are not using? Please send me an email [firstname.lastname@example.org] and let me know what you have to offer, I am sure it can help. I will do all the work putting everything together and get it out to the shelter.
